When you have enjoyed making a stash of ready made flowers and leaves, you can make an intricate looking card with just a few more elements, really quickly and “EZ”. The Wild Asters are simple to shape too, using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit (one of my first Heartfelt Creations purchases), and my new found love of prills in the centre, works really well with these beautifully simple flowers.

Other items:- Saffron Archival Ink – Ranger, Granny Apple Green ink pad – Stampin Up!, clear embossing powder, Set 9 - Cosmic Shimmer iridescent shimmering water colour paints, 8” x 6” white card base

Step 1:- Stamp the Asters onto Deluxe flower shaping paper using Magenta Hue archival ink.

Step 2:- Colour the centres using Saffron archival ink and daubers. Colour the outer petals with Magneta Hue with the daubers.

Step 3:- Die cut and edge the petals with Deep Purple archival ink using the daubers.

Step 4:- Watercolour a pale wash of Chic Grey Blue cosmic shimmer watercolour paints to the reverse side of the petals
Step 5:- Use a ball tool from the flower shaping kit to shape the petals. Place the tool at the outer edge of the petal, press down with an even pressure and roll the ball tool to the base of the petal with one stroke.
Step 6:- Turn the flowers face up and using a ball tool, make circles in the centre of the flower to curl the petals into an arch shape. Adhere 2 sets of same size petals together using the dries clear glue, offsetting the petals to create a fuller flower.

Step 7:- Stamp the leaves and the filler sprays using Granny Apple Green ink. Colour using daubers and the same green, use the Deep Purple archival ink to lightly shade the buds at the end of the filler sprays. Die cut, spritz with water and shape lightly whilst damp. When fully dry add dries clear glue to the ends of the filler sprays, cover in Babys Breath transparent glitter, remove excess and set aside.

Step 8:- Cut a paper from the collection to slightly smaller than 6” x 8” add to the card base using dries clear adhesive. Die cut 2 Starry Night Decorative Die borders in a darker paper and adhere to the top and bottom of the card base. Stamp the sentiment onto white card  using the Deep Purple ink, cover with clear embossing powder, remove excess and heat to set. Die cut using the 3rd smallest Eyelet Diamond Die. Die cut the next size diamond die from the darker paper, adhere this to the card base in the position shown and add the sentiment on top using foam pads.

Step 9:- Position the flowers and leaves onto the card base and secure using hot glue. Once the glue has cooled squeeze Sugared Almond Crystal Drops into the centre of each.

Step 10:- Cover the centre of the flowers with Orange Juice prills and allow to dry before removing excess.
Step 11:- Add the glittered filler sprays using hot glue
